In the realm of psychological and spiritual healing, hypnosis and regression are two powerful techniques often used to address deep-seated issues. While they share similarities, each method has unique approaches and applications. Both can help individuals heal from past traumas and experiences.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a well-established technique that involves guiding a person into a trance-like state where they are highly focused and more open to suggestion. This state can be used to address various issues, including those rooted in childhood traumas or accidents that impact one’s current life. The protocol for hypnosis is well-defined, making it a reliable method for many individuals.
During hypnosis, the practitioner helps the patient access memories and emotions that may be influencing their present behavior. By bringing these to the surface, patients can gain new perspectives and work towards healing. However, hypnosis primarily focuses on the current life and may not always address deeper, underlying issues that originated in past lives or earlier experiences.
What is Regression?
Regression, on the other hand, delves deeper into the subconscious mind, often exploring past lives or early childhood experiences to uncover the root causes of current problems. This technique is designed to take individuals to the source of their issues, allowing them to understand and heal from these experiences at a fundamental level.
Regression can be conducted in various ways, including shamanic practices, one-on-one sessions, or group constellations. The goal is to help the patient realize what happened in the past, whether in this life or a previous one, and change their perspective on these events. By doing so, they can release the emotional and psychological burdens that have been carried forward into their current life.
The Differences and Similarities
While both hypnosis and regression aim to heal, their approaches and outcomes can differ significantly:
- Focus: Hypnosis primarily addresses issues within the current life, while regression seeks to uncover and heal problems from past lives or earlier experiences.
- Technique: Hypnosis follows a structured protocol, making it suitable for individuals who may have difficulty entering a trance state. Regression, however, relies more on the practitioner’s intuition and the patient’s ability to access deep subconscious memories.
- Healing Depth: Hypnosis can be effective for addressing specific issues and behaviors, but it may not always reach the root cause. Regression aims to go deeper, addressing the fundamental sources of problems and providing more comprehensive healing.
Personal Experiences with Regressions
Personal stories often highlight the profound impact of regression. For instance, during a shamanic regression session, long time ago l discovered three past lives that were influencing my current way of thinking (in this life):
- The Knight: In one life, i appeared to be a knight serving as a bodyguard to a princess in the year 1380. I uncovered a conspiracy to kill the princess, who was deemed immoral and unnecessary. Despite thorough investigation and efforts to protect her, I was betrayed and labeled as crazy. This experience left me with a rigid way of thinking, unable to let go of things and people.
- The Pirate Captain: In another life, I was a pirate captain who forced my crew to perform heavy labor and treated them harshly. While we achieved spectacular results in robbing many ships, my crew eventually abandoned me, leaving me to die alone on the island. I was not aware in this life, what had done wrong, and now was repeating a pattern of treating people poorly and being left behind.
- The Viking: In a similar past life, I were a king of Vikings who treated their subjects and crew badly, prioritizing only my own needs. This behavior led to their abandonment once again, as my crew left me far away from my land, thinking that would never return. I managed to get back home, but no one wanted to listen to me anymore. This pattern of being pushy and imposing my way of thinking led to isolation and misunderstanding.
By understanding these past lives, I could see how my current challenges were rooted in these old patterns. This realization and recognition of erroneous way of thinking, allowed me to change my perspective and behavior, leading to significant change on personal and professional fields.
I had many more later on, and concluded some while using family constellations to get to the source of the problem for patients. It’s a magic tool which may be even scary with the conclusions and results you can get after and the changes it may trigger in your life.
Conclusion
Both hypnosis and regression offer valuable paths to healing, each with its unique strengths. Regression offers a deeper exploration of the subconscious to uncover and heal past experiences that may be impacting patient now, creating bug in their perception of reality. Whether through hypnosis or regression, the goal is to achieve greater self-awareness, release past burdens, and embrace a healthier, more fulfilling life with less impact from erroneous patterns stores in our subconscious mind.
